Atari and Enjin Partner to transform Blockchain Gaming space
The two gaming giants have announced the collaboration to integrate the Atari APIs and sports video games licenses with the Enjin gaming platform. The KickOff Series of the eBall games would be the first one to use the implementation of this partnership in 2021. The Atari inspired NFT would be available for the users from December. eballR games would bring in the Atari collectibles also on the platform through unique NFT collectibles.
The gamers would be able to create personalized avatars on the eBallR games using the Atari themed tokens. The same tokens can be later procured in the other games which are developed with Enjin.
There is substantial growth in NFT and blockchain-based gaming. The CEO of Atari, Fred Chesnais, said that the partnership is a milestone in blockchain gaming. It enhances the capabilities of developers and gives them more power to develop better games.
The partnership substantiates virtual identity for gaming, and the NFT token being unique can be used across the gaming environments bringing more fun and value. He said that Enjin and Eballr teams are working together to offer more utility and convenience to users. ‘The implementation of NFT giving control to users in the virtual gaming space’ is just the onset of the immense capabilities of NFT.”
The blockchain gaming space is maturing at a commendable space, and with a popular gaming brand like Atari venturing in the space, newer innovations are possible.
The Director of Business Development at Enjin said that Enjin and Atari’s partnership would be extremely important for NFT and blockchain gaming.
Enjin official blog said “Starting with the eBallR Games portfolio, we look forward to seeing the iconic Atari brand featured in these innovative games and projects Powered by Enjin.”
