Crypto Hackers Find New Ways to Target Unsuspecting Victims

by Brian Armstrong

The cryptocurrency industry is a frequent target of phishing attacks, and hackers have recently attempted to exploit this by creating a fake website that resembles the official website of ETH Denver. ETH Denver is the world’s largest and longest-running ETH event, and it is set to take place between February 24th and March 5th. The threat was detected by crypto security firm Blockfence and ETH Denver’s official Twitter account issued a warning. Phishing is a serious threat, and even experienced people in the industry are not immune. As an example, Nikhil Gopalani, the COO of RTFKT, recently had hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of NFTs stolen due to a phishing attack. It is essential to remain vigilant and take the necessary steps to protect yourself from these attacks.
