Electronics giant Samsung and popular shopping application Lolli had partnered to offer Bitcoin in the form of reward points to users who purchase Samsung products.
The deal has been designed in view of the upcoming Christmas holiday season.
Samsung and Lolli come together
You might have heard of reward points in a local currency, but Samsung has something different to offer. The Electronics behemoth has recalled its partnership with the popular shopping application Lolli providing shoppers a new advantage. As per the new deal, shoppers will now be able to shop and earn reward points in Bitcoin (BTC) when they shop for Samsung products. The new partnership had an initial run in February 2019 and now it is planning to launch this new feature in the holiday shopping season in the coming.
Samsung is planning to take full advantage of the Christmas holiday season. It will give shoppers the option to get up to 1.5% of their money back in Bitcoin when they shop for Samsung electronics through their installed Lolli application. Its advert read:
“Look who’s back! We are thrilled to announce the relaunch of our partnership with Samsung! Lolli users can now earn up to 1.5% Bitcoin back on amazing Samsung products once again. Whether you are looking for a new TV, a mobile phone, or even a laundry machine for your house – Samsung has it all!”
Attractive propositions
And that’s not all, there are more attractive Bitcoin giveaways that the partnered companies have decided upon. All Lolli users who have used the application to buy the products will also get a referral code that they can share with their friends and family. With the help of the referral code, they can earn $10 worth of BTC when the code is used by the user’s connection to make a purchase.
Lolli is a popular name in retail shopping and it already has its hands full with more than 1,000 top merchants already being associated with it to step up the adoption in crypto. Some of the biggest names associated with Lolli are Walmart, Lululemon Athletica, Nike, Postmates, and Old Navy. In the last year’s holiday season, Lolli had given away 50,000 satoshis which are equal to 0.00050000 BTC or $3.67 at that time. It gave it to those users who “stacks sats at Nike” to celebrate its partnership with the fitness apparel company.
The new offering by Samsung and the current swing of Bitcoin can prove to be a good move for Samsung boosting the holiday season for the giant electronics company. Earning Bitcoin while shopping for Samsung products certainly is an attractive proposition.
