Bitcoin has garnered massive mainstream attention lately, and social media is continually abuzz with the discussions and hype around the cryptocurrency. Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, has talked about cryptocurrency at various times, kickstarting a flurry of comments and discussions on Twitter and other channels.

Elon Musk changed his Twitter Bio on Friday and tagged bitcoin that created a lot of hype on the social media platform. Bitcoin surged up to 12 percent after Elon Musk hinted his support for the digital asset. It is interesting to note that whenever Elon Musk talks about anything on social media, that topic starts to trend, and people start talking about it. When the Tesla CEO tweeted about Dogecoin in the past, the meme cryptocurrency price started to surge immediately. A lot of prominent personalities in the cryptocurrency space have noted Elon Musk’s recent change in bio. A Twitter user, ‘The Wolf of All Street”, tweeted that it is a beautiful site to wake up and see that Elon Musk has included #bitcoin in his bio.

The highly popular businessman has a massive fan following on Twitter and other social media sites. With more than 43.7 million Twitter followers, Elon Musk can hugely impact the markets. Currently, Bitcoin is extremely volatile, and its price is fluctuating a lot these days. After Elon Musk changed his bio, there was a lot of discussion and curiosity amongst the followers and crypto community about whether Musk would invest in Bitcoin. There were even speculations if Tesla would invest in cryptocurrency.

Whenever Elon Musk tweets about any brand or product that its shares start soaring in the markets. He recently Tweeted about getting a present for his dog on Etsy, and then its shares increased. He also tweeted about the recent GameStop incident, “Gamestonk.”

The SpaceX and Tesla CEO had also added Dogecoin in his Twitter bio in the past. He also tweeted a picture of a dog on a magazine cover, which is a spinoff of Vogue magazine after Dogecoin surged recently.
