Elon Musk has wittingly trolled Bitcoin enthusiasts by saying that he would not turn down being paid in BTC.
Elon Musk Won’t Turn Down Bitcoin Payment.
Replying to a tweet by author Ben Mezrich, who authored popular books like The Social network and Bitcoin Billionaires, Elton Musk hinted that he would not turn down if offered to be paid in Bitcoin. Mezrich tweeted that “I am never turning down getting paid in Bitcoin,” to which the SpaceX and Tesla CEO replied, “Me Neither.” Elon Musk is known for his quirky antics over social media, where he keeps on talking about cryptocurrency and other diverse topics. He seemingly trolled the Bitcoin community, taking a jibe at Bitcoin acceptance.
Last year Elon Musk talked highly optimistically about Bitcoin by calling it “my safe word.” And in the following tweet said, “who needs a safe word,” seemingly trolling Bitcoin. The tech billionaire is in the news currently for becoming the wealthiest person in the world, and the crypto community is calling out for him to buy Bitcoin. While various firms are fast diverting their investments to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, Elon Musk firms have not done anything of sorts till now. A few weeks ago, Musk tweeted about Dogecoin, which skyrocketed the price of the DOGE token. Dogecoin is a meme currency that is often used for philanthropic projects.
The bitcoin community is calling out Elon Musk to put some Bitcoin in the Tesla Balance sheet. Highly popular crypto influencer @APopmpliano tweeted about the same and wittingly asked someone to introduce them to Elon Musk. Another user CZ Binance replied to the tweet, saying that “He will come, Just a matter of time.”
When Elon Musk replied affirmatively to Mezrich’s tweet, the community is looking forward to the conversation. Mezrich’s Bitcoin Billionaire highlights how the world’s strongest cryptocurrency has grown so massively. It chronicles the Bitcoins transition “from the Silk Road to the halls of the Securities and Exchange Commission”.
Elon Musk humors his followers and cryptocurrency enthusiasts with lighthearted Twitter conversations and posts. He even responded to a tweet earlier saying that “mars coin” cryptocurrency can be the mode of exchange on Mars.
