Open API network; the Graph launched its mainnet on Thursday, December 17th, 2020, bringing in an array of robust features that substantially reduces the time and complexity of the development of decentralized applications.

The Graph Network announced that the Mainnet is Live.

The Graph launches mainnet

The Graph announced mainnet is live, which is the first-ever searchable index of blockchain data and allows developers to publish, search and use the public blockchain data to build decentralized applications without dependence on the centralized servers. With the mainnet, the decentralized applications would be widely accessible using Subgraphs( Open APIs). The Graph noted that developers spent more than three years developing the network and creating a highly efficient community of curators, indexers, and delegators.

The Graph mainnet would enable the developers to easily use the public blockchain data by searching and indexing. The subgraphs or open APIs would allow the developers to leverage the transparency of public blockchain and derive useful data. The present analytical tools which allow developers to extract useful information from public blockchains work in a centralized way and thus take a lot of time to develop. However, the Graph Network provides a better approach due to which the decentralized application can be developed in days as compared to months.

Co-founder and Project lead of The Graph Yaniv Tal said, ‘it’s surreal that after years of hard work, our vision for a global decentralized indexing and API layer for Web3 has become real”/ he added that the launch of the mainnet would help the users to work seamlessly in a decentralized way. Many DeFi projects use the Graph; the novel version would help the crypto community work collectively and generate better economic opportunities.

The mainnet launch included a host of new features like deployment of the Graph contracts on the Ethereum mainnet and the deployment of GRT contract along with GRT token distribution to the stakeholders.

The Graph solutions are used by the leading blockchain names like Uniswap, Coin Market cap, Chainlink, Synthetix, etc., with the launch of The Graph Mainnet, the current projects using the Graph service can migrate to the decentralized networks subsequently.
