StarkWare, an Israeli company focused on Ethereum scaling, has partnered with Chainlink, a Web3 services platform, to expand development on StarkNet. The collaboration will also form an economic network between the two entities. The main goal of the partnership is to accelerate the adoption of StarkWare’s solutions by providing access to low-cost StarkNet tokens to cover operating costs, as well as Chainlink Price Feeds on the StarkNet testnet. Eli Ben-Sasson, Co-Founder and President of StarkWare, stated that the partnership will enable a next-generation of globally scalable Web3 applications built on StarkNet. Sergey Nazarov, Co-Founder of Chainlink, added that the collaboration will reduce operating costs for users and developers and allow them to operate at a higher speed.
StarkWare has also announced its intention to open-source its STARK Prove engine, which uses cryptographic proofs and allows blockchains to move computations to a single off-chain. Eli Ben-Sasson stated that this is a landmark moment for scaling Ethereum, and in a wider sense, for cryptography, as it will put STARK technology in its rightful place as a public good. The update is expected to take some time before being implemented officially.
