Now, as the world’s most powerful cryptocurrency reached its all-time high, users bombarded Wikipedia’s Bitcoin page to get information about cryptocurrency and how it works.
Wikipedia Bitcoin page sees the highest traffic of all time.

The curiosity and hype around Bitcoin are unsurmountable in recent times as the token price passed its $20000 threshold this week. The visitors have lined up on the Wikipedia page breaking all the previous records. The incoming traffic on the Bitcoin page of the world’s most reliable information site grew tremendously high. The page received more than 16,088 views on December 16, 2020, which was the highest since January 2020. The Block reported that the Bitcoin page’s average daily views on Wikipedia was just around 6.900; however,, it peaked at 16 088 on Wednesday.
Citing data from the Tool forge, The Block said that the increased views are recorded as Bitcoin continues to rally at various exchanges. The total number of views on the page is a whopping 2,436,919.
Looking at the same chart on a Monthly basis, one can note atrend that views on the page have been relatively low between February 2020 to October 2020, as Bitcoin started rallying in November, the monthly views also started to accelerate. The monthly average between December 2019 to November 2020 is recorded at 207,078. Since December has been an exceptionally eventful month for Bitcoin, it would be interesting to note that on what level the monthly total for December reaches.
Bitcoin price crossed its benchmark of $20,000 on Wednesday, reaching close to its previous acme after Wall Street made it tradable in 2017. There is limited Bitcoin supply, all thanks to the structure of the cryptocurrency; it will always be in demand. As high-value individuals and institutional investors flocked to gather more Bitcoin and converted their Capital to Bitcoin, the price of BTC kept on accelerating continuously in recent months.
